Traffic & Parking

Due to the size of the show, the traffic situation around the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre is very tight. All unloading and loading directly to and from the halls during build-up and breakdown is therefore subject to a buffering procedure operated by RAI Traffic & Logistics officials. In addition, all trucks of 8.00m and longer must be unloaded/reloaded by CEVA Showfreight, the official freight handling company of PLMA's World of Private Label.

To view the applicable procedure, select the type of vehicle that you, your contractor or your transport company will be traveling with from the options below. Please note that the local traffic situation and specific circumstances may force RAI Traffic & Logistics officials to deviate from the overviews below.

Passenger cars lower than 1.90m

Parking in P1 (Halls 10-12), P2 (Halls 1-7 and 14), P3 (Hall 8) or P4 (Hall 9). No direct access to the (un)loading areas. Freight elevators lead from the car parks to the exhibition hall level, check the RAI parking map below for details:

Vehicles from 1.90m up to 2.70m high

Vehicles from 1.90m-2.70m high can (un)load without a buffering procedure.

Vehicles directed to Halls 8-12 can park in P4, take the P4 elevator (max. 220 cm high, max. 2500kg) to the 1st floor of Hall 9, and continue their way from there to Halls 8-12.

Vehicles directed to Halls 1-7 and 14 can (un)load on P8 and proceed to Halls 1-7 from there. Vehicles that need to unload on P8 must report at gate P7 and must have a reservation in RAI's LMS system, which will open mid-April. Once (un)loaded, the vehicle must be parked in P4.

Both for build-up and for breakdown, bringing your own cart or small transportation device is strongly recommended.

Trucks shorter than 8.00m

RAI's Logistics Management System (LMS) allows to book the time slot that suits your schedule best. Compulsory for trucks shorter than 8.00m that need to (un)load at RAI.

With a confirmed reservation and printed Vehicle Pass (RAI LMS-link), trucks not needing CEVA Showfreight's (un)loading services can arrive ‘just-in-time’ at the RAI loading areas without stopping by buffer area P20. Trucks that do need CEVA Showfreight's (un)loading services must report at P20 first. RAI's LMS system will be available from this page as early May.

REQUIRED

  • Name of exhibiting company
  • Hall and stand number of exhibiting company
  • License plate number
  • Photo ID of driver
  • Cell phone number of driver

ACTIONS

  1. Follow road signs 'Route 14' to RAI buffer site P20 Amsterdam Westpoort
  2. Report at P20 an hour prior to the booked time slot and obtain validated vehicle pass
  3. Display the vehicle pass behind the windshield
  4. Wait for permission to proceed by RAI Traffic Management official
  5. After receiving permission, proceed to the indicated RAI loading/unloading area
  6. Follow the instructions of the RAI Traffic Management official at the loading/unloading area
  7. Respect the loading/unloading time: 45 minutes
  8. Leave the area immediately after loading/unloading

WARNING

Loading/unloading space around the halls is limited. Vehicles exceeding the loading/unloading time or without a clearly visible vehicle pass behind the windshield will be towed away at the driver's expense. In addition, a fine will be applied.

  1. Follow road signs 'Route 14' to RAI buffer site P20 Amsterdam Westpoort
  2. Register vehicle and obtain vehicle pass at buffer site P20 
  3. Display the vehicle pass behind the windshield
  4. Wait for permission to proceed by RAI Traffic Management official
  5. After receiving permission, proceed to the indicated RAI loading/unloading area
  6. Follow the instructions of the RAI Traffic Management official at the loading/unloading area
  7. Respect the loading/unloading time: 60 minutes
  8. Leave the area immediately after loading/unloading
